New Years Eve

I have spent many years with family and friends on New Year's Eve playing games, telling jokes, laughing and having a good time.  This is the time to think about the year that has pasted and the year to come.  What have you accomplished and what you want to accomplish.  What New Year’s resolutions you are going to make, attempt to keep and the ones that you didn't keep from the previous year.  Then you say to yourself "This year is going to be different".

Well this year I stayed at home with my wife, who caught a cold, and my kids to welcome in the New Year.  We sat in the living room playing the Sorry board game and watched Ryan Seacrest host Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC.  During the commercials or when a band was playing we didn't want to watch, we would flip the channel to NBC to see who was playing there.  We noticed that Carson Daly was hosting the show and watch for a few minutes.  I noticed that I started to feel like something was wrong then I realized it was because Carson had no enthusiasm in his voice.  He was very flat, monotone and really didn't have much to say that was worth anything.  At first I thought it was the subject he was speaking about but as we continued to switch back and forth, I concluded that it was just him.  His co-host was more enthused than he was.  Come on!!!  This is New Year's Eve.  Ryan was 10 times better than Carson.  I can't believe NBC but Carson on the show again.  Carson, take a look at Ryan or take a lesson in public speaking.  If NBC brings you back next year maybe you will be better.
