So I already talked about why I switch to satellite radio but now I have a problem with them. I am a NASCAR fan and the other reason I switched to XM radio is because they had a NASCAR channel where I could listen to lap-by-lap action, pre and post race interviews on Sundays. During the week I could listen to other commentary and interviews with people behind the scenes.
The first year was great. I got everything I expected and much more. The second year is when it started. The NASCAR broadcast contract got dropped by XM and picked up by SIRUS. Well I am not going to change radios again but much to my surprise, I found “Dialed In” by Claire B Lange and I was a happy customer again. I really enjoyed listening to her and her interviews. It really seemed that she knew exactly what her fans wanted to hear and I don’t think anyone listening was ever disappointed. I even called in and talked with her a couple of times.
Now it’s the 3rd year and here we go again. The NASCAR season is over and Claire’s show has bounced around the channels at least 3 times and changed its broadcast time but at least it was still there. I haven’t found out where her show has been moved to so I decided to check her website to find out the latest news. Now her show has been moved to the SIRIUS NASCAR channel and I am furious. The last show that I can listen to about NASCAR has not been moved and I have to pay extra to get what they call “The Best of SIRIUS” to listen to the NASCAR channel.
I called customer service and started to complain. They have really disappointed a lot of NASCAR fans that originally purchased XM for NASCAR and now we don’t have anything. The customer service representative wouldn’t offer any type of discount without having to pay some huge upfront fee. I asked for the manager and of course one couldn’t be found.
Come on XM radio, stop disappointing the NASCAR fans and give us this channel. Stop giving us the run around and stop wasting air!!!
